Debbie Perry, M.Ed, has over 25 years of professional experience in education, having taught mathematics at the elementary, middle, secondary, and higher education levels. Since 2010, Deb has served as a Midway ISD Mathematics Coordinator.In 2009, Deb was named as one of three finalists for Texas Secondary Teacher of the Year. While teaching elementary mathematics in Florida, Deb was named a PAEMST state finalist. In 2016, Deb was awarded the Impact in Leadership Award by the Research in Mathematics team of SMU. That same year, she was awarded the TASM-Eads Leadership Excellence Award. She serves on the steering committee of Baylor’s Professional Development Schools and as a member of the executive boards of two organizations, Conference for the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching (CAMT) and Texas Association of Supervisors of Mathematics (TASM). Deb has written items for both ESTAR and MSTAR universal screeners and diagnostic assessments, as well as articles in Texas Mathematics Teacher.
