In Principles to Action (2014), mathematics teachers are challenged to “implement tasks that promote reasoning and problem solving” as one of eight effective teaching strategies.  In this session, participants will explore the design, implementation, and scoring of tasks in order to strengthen student learning. Participants will examine task samples and scoring samples, as well as sources for leveled performance tasks.
